A Christmas Carol
From the book by Charles Dickens.
Adaptation for the stage by Barbara Field.
Sadly eternally relevant, this show can nevertheless become inert due to repetition. Using Ms. Field's superlative adaptation, I let it became a society of modern day re-enactors who live the story together. Using puppets and puppet elements for the ghosts provided the show with the required magic and an unexpected emotional resonance.

Charles Dickens’ classic story about Ebenezer Scrooge, who avoids all of humanity in favor of solitary wealth. Visited by his long dead business partner, Scrooge receives a second chance in the form of three Christmas ghosts. They remind him of his past, introduce him to the people in his present world, and reveal a future he would rather avoid. Scrooge’s rediscovery of his humanity helps us find the spirit of Christmas yet again!
